The Strange Case of William Cierzan

William Cierzan, of Santa Clarita, vanished on January 26th, 2017. His wife said she spoke to him by phone at about 4 p.m., while he was making dinner. When she got home a few hours later, he was gone. He’d left behind his car, wallet, and mobile phone.

Detectives found blood in the home, and have since confirmed it belongs to Will. According to CBS Los Angeles, the family stated that the focus of the investigation is on Will’s nephew, Danny Cierzan, who was the last to see him alive. They have not officially named any suspects in the case. Los Angeles Country Sheriff’s Department investigators now call his disappearance a homicide.

A neighbor’s security camera captured what appears to be Danny’s truck backing up to the couple’s garage the day that Will vanished. The family stated that Danny has told multiple versions about what happened the day his uncle disappeared.

“He hurt Will. They found blood in the house. He hurt Will. The fact that he lied about it to all of us just says he hurt Will. And he’s afraid to admit it because he’s a coward,” Linda, Cierzan’s wife, stated.

Will worked in the gift shop at Six Flags Magic Mountain. A candlelight vigil was held there on May 15th, where there was an outpour of support by family and friends.

A $20,000 reward is being offered for information that will lead to the person responsible for Will’s disappearance.
