Burned Body Found in Bakersfield Orchard

A man's body was found on Monday, July 3rd, in an orange orchard near Comanche and Highway 58, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office said. The man has not been identified yet.

He was found by farm workers around 11a.m., according to Kern County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Ray Pruitt.

KCSO is investigating the man’s death as a homicide. According to Kern Golden Empire, detectives are interviewing workers in the area. No arrests have been made yet.
