Body of Reno Woman Found in Central California


Dinuba Police have not publicly identified the 29-year-old woman who was found Sunday in a cardboard box. It was wrapped in tape, found inside a black Lincoln Navigator in Tulare County, which is near Fresno.

According to the Reno Gazette-Journal, the Dinuba Police Department said they found the woman while investigating reports of a stabbing and gunfire on Sunday morning. Jose Anthony Rodriguez from Reno was arrested at that point, accused of being involved in the stabbing. After his arrest, police received a tip that a dead body was inside the car Rodriquez was driving.

During the search of the car, they found the box that contained the unidentified woman. And according to Dinuba Police, that woman is related to Rodriquez. The Reno and Dinuba Police are investigating her death as a homicide.

The Reno Police Department said there was evidence of a homicide inside an apartment in the 3000 block of South Virginia Street.
